Responsibilities?

The Role?

• Must be able to MIG Weld/fabricate to a high standard (heavy up to 20mm gauge)

• Accurately work from and interpret detailed drawings

• Ideally have experience in; plasma cutting, oxy acetylene cutting and manual press brake operations.

• Vast experience with hand tools (grinders & drills)

• The ability to work on their own initiative and problem solve

• Able to adhere to PPE standards

• Maintain a safe working environment, always keeping areas clear of debris and hazards and ensuring housekeeping standards are at an acceptable level, recognising potential/actual hazards and taking corrective actions to minimize accidents.

On behalf of a leading manufacturer in recovery vehicles Recruitus are looking for a Production Supervisor to continue to drive the business forward from the front shop. The successful Production Supervisor will have experience of working with the manufacturing / production environment.

The successful Production Supervisor will manage and lead a team of fabricators, allocating workload and managing the day-to-day operations in the Front Shop. It requires the job holder to co-ordinate resources and liaise with internal and external key contacts to ensure work is delivered on time and to an excellent quality standard. The successful candidate will also be responsible for employment decisions, reviews, absence and performance monitoring and overall development of department associates.

• The Role?

• Responsible for job allocation and job flow in the workshops including job scheduling and labour allocation for day-to-day operations

• Co-ordinate resources (operational and human), schedule activities to effectively manage jobs

• Ensure supplies are ordered for each job in advance of the requirement

• Project management and quality checks

• Ensure correct job numbers are used and that time records are correct

• Oversee the accuracy of the build, its progress and the quality standard

• Regularly report progress on each job and quickly communicate delays or concerns

• Act as a technical advisor on key projects

• Liaise with sawmill and stores on a regular basis

• Investigate any concerns arising from products and suggest appropriate solutions. Discuss with other supervisors and or the individual concerned to identify appropriate course of action.

• Provide feedback to staff that are not performing to the expected level and ensure HR are informed of trends in performance.

• Ensure Health & Safety is adhered to, report any plant not in correct working order

Job Description:

• Plan and deliver the installation and commissioning of new equipment, personally completing or monitoring third parties, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing.

• Produce accurate and detailed Project costs and quotations.

• Evaluate and communicate project performance.

• Ensure new equipment drawings and preventative maintenance recommendations are transferred to the maintenance team.

• Interpret designs from Engineering Project Managers and create AutoCAD drawings as specifications.

• Generate, monitor and update all project documentation.

• Close out of defects/snagging checks.

Recruitus are recruiting for a logistics and process development co ordinator. 

You will work from Sales through to Dispatch in controlling the company’s Third-party products. 

Third party sales include all products that are purchased and then re-sold without entering the full manufacturing process.

The Person will need to fully understand the products they are controlling so will need to be able to use Solidworks and more importantly have good statistical and spreadsheet skills to ensure the company has the correct conforming items, the necessary stock and ultimately able to supply the customer to generate the necessary profitable income.

The Process development will include control of Third-Party Products but also our internally manufactured products, so you will also need to have a full understanding of the company’s SOP’s including Raw Material Processing, Hose Manufacturing and Trimming/dispatch.
